Barr. Seyi Tinubu has been honoured as a Christian Youth Peace Ambassador by the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria, YOWICAN.
Mr Tinubu received the recognition during the National Christian Youth Security Summit and Thanksgiving, where the organisation commended his contributions to peace-building, youth development and national unity.
Represented at the event by Ambassador Belusochukwu Enwere, Tinubu expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of YOWICAN for considering him worthy of the honour.
He described the recognition as a greater call to service and responsibility, pledging to continue supporting initiatives focused on youth empowerment, peace-building, national unity and positive social impact.
According to him, peace goes beyond the absence of conflict, as it requires justice, compassion, tolerance, mutual respect and a collective commitment to the common good.
He urged young Nigerians to play a greater role in building a united country where religious, ethnic and cultural differences would become sources of strength rather than division.
Mr Tinubu also commended YOWICAN for mobilising Christian youths towards responsible leadership, community development, national unity and peaceful coexistence.
“Your commitment to empowering the next generation is both commendable and necessary at this important time in our nation’s journey,” he said.
He pledged continued support for programmes and initiatives aimed at empowering young people and promoting peaceful coexistence across the country.
Tinubu urged Nigerian youths to embrace peace, love and unity, stressing the need to create an environment where every young person could dream, contribute to national development and prosper.
“Together, let us choose peace, promote love and build a Nigeria where every young person can dream, contribute and prosper,” he said.
He also prayed for continued strength and success for YOWICAN and Christian youths across the country in their efforts to promote peace and national development.
