Sheriff Akanbi, the husband of Oluwatosin Bankole, has alleged that he was deeply shocked after coming to believe that his wife had given birth to a set of twins without informing him.
Akanbi made the claim while responding to allegations levelled against him, accusing his wife of withholding crucial information about the birth and addressing other issues raised in the dispute.
Speaking in an interview with Punch Newspapers on Thursday, July 9, 2026, Akanbi said he came to suspect that his wife had delivered twins after consulting an Islamic cleric over the persistent crying of their baby. He claimed the cleric’s revelation left him stunned and angry, insisting that he had not been informed of any twin birth when his wife gave birth.
