A podcast interview featuring a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has sparked widespread reactions online after his remarks on why Nigerians should re-elect his party in 2027.
The clip, which has gone viral across social media platforms, captured the moment the host challenged the APC supporter to directly address Nigerians and campaign for his party.
APC Member Defends Party’s “Foundation”
During the podcast, the interviewer asked the guest to look into the camera and convince Nigerians why the APC should remain in power.
In response, the party member argued that the APC had already laid a solid foundation for the country and deserved the opportunity to complete its work.
“Why I think that APC and the Nigerians should vote APC come 2027 is because my party have laid the foundation for this country,” he said.
He likened governance to building a house, explaining that the strength of the foundation determines the success of the entire structure.
“And that foundation is solid. Foundation must be built upon. When you start up a house, only you knows what you are putting and how solid it was,” he added.
The APC supporter further stated that the party should be allowed to “finish it to the roofing until Nigeria have a roof over their head.”
