President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has praised Kwara State All Progressives Congress chieftain, Engr. Femi Sanni, for remaining committed to the party and its progressive ideals despite losing the party’s governorship primary.
Tinubu congratulated Sanni on his birthday in a statement issued on Friday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
The President described the Kwara APC leader as an outstanding party man and professional who has continued to contribute to the development of the party, Kwara State and Nigeria.
Sanni had contested for the APC governorship ticket in Kwara State during the party’s last primary but lost the nomination. According to the presidency, he has nevertheless remained steadfast in his support for the party and its ideals.
Tinubu commended him for what he described as his contributions to engineering, private-sector development and the growth of the APC.
Sanni, an engineer, entrepreneur and community leader, was also praised for his commitment to the development of his community and the welfare of his people.
“I extend my good wishes to Femi Sanni on the occasion of his birthday today. He is an outstanding party man and a professional of good breeding who continues to contribute to the development of our country and Kwara State,” Tinubu said.
The President wished Sanni good health and more impactful years of service to humanity.
Sanni’s continued loyalty to the APC after his unsuccessful governorship bid is likely to reinforce his standing within the party as preparations for future political contests in Kwara gather momentum.
