President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday night received the Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where discussions centered on internal party matters within the All Progressives Congress (APC) and political developments in Gombe State.
During the visit, Governor Yahaya formally presented the APC governorship candidate for Gombe State, Jamilu Gwamna, to the President in what is understood to be part of ongoing consultations and consolidation efforts within the ruling party ahead of future elections.
The meeting, held behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, provided an opportunity for the governor to brief President Tinubu on the political climate in Gombe State, party mobilisation efforts, and preparations aimed at strengthening the APC’s structure at the state level.
