Troops of the Joint Task Force North West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have arrested a suspected terrorist kingpin, an ammunition courier and a suspected logistics supplier in separate operations in Kaduna State.
The arrests were carried out on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, in Kubau, Igabi and Birnin Gwari Local Government Areas of the state.
In a statement on Thursday, September 10, the Media Information Officer of the Joint Task Force North West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja, said troops of Sector 1 conducted a clearance operation at Dabar Dabo, a known terrorist hideout in Kubau LGA.
According to him, the operation led to the arrest of a suspected terrorist kingpin and two other members of his syndicate.

Danja said the suspects are currently in military custody for further investigation.
In a separate operation the same day, troops acting on credible intelligence intercepted a 50-year-old female ammunition courier in Igabi LGA.
The suspect was arrested with 300 rounds of ammunition concealed in a bag.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect had travelled from Zamfara State to Lafia, where she received the ammunition for onward delivery to terrorists in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State,” the statement said.
The troops also apprehended a suspected terrorist logistics supplier in Birnin Gwari LGA in collaboration with a community vigilante group.
The statement added that four communication devices suspected to be used by terrorists were recovered from the suspect during interrogation and a search of his belongings.
The Joint Task Force said the operations demonstrated its commitment to disrupting terrorist networks and restricting the movement of weapons and logistics within its area of operation.
“The series of successes recorded is a testimony to the unwavering commitment of troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA to disrupt terrorist networks, deny criminal elements freedom of action, and prevent the movement of arms, ammunition and other logistics across the Joint Operations Area,” it said.
