A truck carrying a full load of sachet water lost control and slammed into a nearby building, leaving both the vehicle and the structure damaged while scattering its cargo across the surrounding ground.
The impact tore into the front section of the building, bringing down chunks of its roofing and walls onto the truck’s cab, which sat visibly crushed and exposed by the time onlookers arrived at the scene.
Packs of sachet water, hundreds of them wrapped in their distinctive blue nylon, lay strewn across the muddy ground in every direction, many crushed or soaked through from the impact.
Residents and passersby gathered quickly, some picking through the wreckage while others simply stood taking in the scale of the loss.
Details on what caused the truck to lose control in the first place have not yet been established, and it remains unclear whether anyone inside the building or vehicle sustained injuries during the crash.
