A tragic accident at Amasaman has left a motorbike rider severely injured after a truck reportedly lost control and veered into his lane, crashing into him.
According to reports, the heavy-duty truck suddenly moved off its lane and collided with the rider, leaving him trapped and badly injured. The impact reportedly caused severe damage to the rider, with eyewitnesses describing the scene as horrifying.
The truck’s mate also sustained injuries after allegedly attempting to jump off the moving vehicle during the incident.
Photos and videos from the scene show the damaged motorcycle lying on the ground while bystanders gathered around the area. Some residents were seen trying to assist as emergency responders were expected to arrive at the scene.
The cause of the truck losing control remains unclear, but the incident has once again raised concerns about road safety, reckless driving and the need for drivers of heavy-duty vehicles to exercise extra caution on busy roads.
The Ghana Police are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash and provide further details on the condition of the victims.
