A 22-year-old Nairobi woman has attracted attention online after posting a video of herself crying over her boyfriend.
Sarah Nana said her boyfriend, Joshua, suddenly blocked her across several platforms on August 1, 2026.
She claimed they had dated for about two years and had been doing well before he stopped communicating with her.
“The issue is I had a boyfriend; he is 25 years old, and we have been dating for about two years. We have been fine until August 1, when he blocked me all over and everywhere,” she said.
The emotional video circulated widely on social media after appearing around Girlfriends’ Day.
Sarah later appeared on Obinna TV Extra, where she said Joshua ended contact without giving her a clear explanation.
She also said she had heard claims that he had moved on to another woman. That claim has not been independently confirmed.
Joshua later joined the programme by phone and gave his side of the story.
He denied blocking Sarah without a reason. He claimed her frequent crying and demands on his time had affected their relationship.
Joshua also said Sarah did not want him to go to work and wanted them to spend too much time together.
During the conversation, he admitted that he had lied about his age. He said he was 30, although he had previously told Sarah that he was 25.
He also claimed he had supported her with gifts and paid some of her personal expenses during their relationship.
Presenter Oga Obinna offered to sponsor a reconciliation date for the couple. Joshua rejected the offer and suggested that the money should be used for an investment instead.
The incident has started discussions about communication, emotional dependence and the importance of giving people closure when relationships end.
The statements made by Sarah and Joshua are their personal accounts of the relationship and have not been independently proven.
