Türkiye sends additional earthquake relief supplies to Venezuela

Türkiye’s Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said on Saturday that search and rescue equipment, emergency supplies, food, and hygiene kits had been delivered to Venezuelan authorities through the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).

The aid is intended for communities affected by the twin earthquakes that struck on June 24.

The disaster has killed at least 2,655 people and caused widespread damage.

In a post on Turkish social media platform NSosyal, Ersoy said Türkiye remains committed to its long-standing friendship and solidarity with Venezuela.

He said Türkiye will continue sending shelter materials and other basic living supplies in the coming days.

Ersoy said Türkiye does not limit humanitarian aid to times of disaster. He added that the country maintains strong cooperation with its friendly and brotherly nations under all circumstances.
