The United States Mission in Nigeria has joined Nigerians and the global creative community in mourning veteran Nigerian actor, Olu Jacobs.
In a tribute shared on Tuesday, the US Mission described Jacobs as a legendary actor whose extraordinary talent crossed borders and generations.
The Mission noted that Jacobs’ career extended beyond Nigeria, including appearances in American productions, before he became one of the defining voices of Nigerian cinema.
“His legacy lives on in the stories he told and the generations of artists he inspired,” the US Mission said.
It expressed condolences to Nigerians and the global creative community, concluding its tribute with: “Rest in peace, Olu Jacobs.”
