Nana Otedola, the mother of model and actress Temi Otedola, has opened up about her daughter’s pregnancy.
While discussing with Temi and her husband, she admitted that she was worried when she learnt of her daughter’s pregnancy. According to her, she was scared because Mr Eazi works in the entertainment industry and travels a lot.
She pointed out that she had spent most of her parenting years raising her children on her own and didn’t want her daughter to go through the same thing. Nana said she was worried she’d be left at home alone with the baby.
“When you got pregnant, I was scared because Tosin works in the entertainment industry and travels a lot. I spent most of my parenting years raising my children on my own, and I didn’t want my daughter to go through the same thing. I was worried she’d be left at home alone with the baby.”
Nana also expressed shock at how quickly they got pregnant, saying she thought they’d spend about three years enjoying the honeymoon phase.
“I was shocked you guys were having a baby so soon. I thought you’d spend about three years enjoying the honeymoon phase. But she told me, ‘Mum, we’ve been together for five years… we’ve already done all that.’”
During Temi Otedola’s wedding last year, Otedola credited his wife for single-handedly raising the family. He revealed that when they had Temi, he was busy looking for money to care for them. Femi said Nana sacrificed everything, even enduring his bad habits, to ensure the kids were well looked after and spent every minute with them.
It is no longer news that Temi and her husband, Mr Eazi, are expecting a baby.
The couple had dedicated a sweet video to their unborn child. In the clip, the couple were seen in matching outfits, sharing a sweet moment.
In a Tiktok video, Temi shared the sweet moment she found out she is pregnant. She revealed that she and her husband had planned for a year or two before having a baby. Unfortunately, their plan didn’t work as she found out she was pregnant while on their two-month honeymoon in Japan and South Korea.
While discussing with Eazi, on her podcast, she revealed that she wouldn’t be exposing her child on the internet. Giving reasons, she described her move as a deliberate boundary, explaining that her public status doesn’t give her the right to expose her child to social media scrutiny.
In a previous podcast, Otedola’s youngest daughter revealed her deal-breaker with Eazi, saying she doesn’t have a problem with him being friends with his ex and is okay with him sending a birthday message. However, she draws the line when he starts liking her pictures.
In another discussion, Temi described her husband as strict and judgmental. Mr Eazi, who was surprised by the description, queried her about it, and Temi insisted that he is naturally strict. The singer said he had made efforts to be more laid-back in their relationship, noting how he has avoided constantly telling her what to do and trying to be her doctor.
Elsewhere, on the podcast, Temi said her pregnancy has brought them even closer, revealing that her husband loves taking care of her and likes to play her doctor. She recounted how he got upset when her sister, DJ Cuppy, stepped in to help because he doesn’t want anyone else doing his job.
