Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Umar Sani, aligned with the Taminu Turaki-led faction, has said the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, does not have any documents of the party.
NewsWatch Nigeria reports that Sani made this disclosure on Thursday during an interview on ARISE Television’s ‘Morning Show’, while reacting to Wike’s recent comment about the faction.
Wike, during his media parley on Wednesday, dared the Taminu Turaki-led faction to open any bank account for the sale of nomination forms or office, threatening to have it sealed.
In response, Sani said Wike cannot claim to have PDP documents, stressing that responsibility lies with the Board of Trustees (BoT).
According to Sani, Wike is just on national television trying to impress Nigerians.
He said, “Wike cannot even claim to have the documents of the party, because by our party constitution, that responsibility is bestowed on the Board of Trustees, BoT.
“They decided to form their own BoT, and now, our BoT, led by former Senate President Adolphus Wabara, is the conscience and custodian of assets of the party.
“So where does Wike have documents to say that he is holding the documents? He does not have any documents. He’s just on national television trying to impress Nigerians.”
