A 29-year-old Zimbabwean woman has been remanded in custody after allegedly biting her husband’s private part during a dispute over claims that he was having an affair.
The incident reportedly happened in Dzivarasekwa 2 on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, and involved Sharline Rutendo Munenga and her 33-year-old husband, Munyaradzi Pondi.
According to H-Metro, Munenga appeared before a Harare magistrate on Friday, September 11, where she faced a physical abuse charge over the alleged incident.
The court heard that Munenga confronted her husband after receiving information that he was allegedly involved with another woman.
An argument reportedly started after she was unhappy with his response to the allegation. Prosecutors claim the confrontation later became physical, during which Munenga allegedly bit her husband’s private part and caused serious injuries.
Pondi was taken to hospital for treatment and was reportedly in a serious condition.
Following her court appearance, Munenga was remanded in custody as the case continues.
The allegations against her have not yet been proven in court.
