Entertainer Speed Darlington has publicly opposed the re-election bid of Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 political landscape.
In a video shared online, the singer criticized the current administration, alleging that it has fallen short in addressing the needs of Nigerians, particularly in managing the economy.
He warned that a second term under the present government would be “hell fire” for citizens.
Darlington further claimed that President Tinubu lacks a clear understanding of presidential responsibilities, accusing the administration of focusing primarily on tax collection.
Commenting on the “City Boy” movement, he argued that its supporters lack recognition in their respective regions and suggested that insecurity has made it difficult for some members to return to their hometowns.
He said …
‘’You are here breaking your neck to become the next President of Nigeria but you are not qualified to be President again. From your first round, we know your second round is going to be hell fire. You entered office, the first thing you did is to remove subsidy, knowing very well that every thing about Nigerian life is attached to petroleum.
My fellow Igbo people and Hausas and Yorubas and other tribes in-between, they pray, begging God to give them excuse to raise price and then you gave them reason, 1000% reason to raise price. Nigerians that are naturally greedy.”
Just tell me, what qualifies you to be President for a second term?
You are not qualified to be President again, You do not know the job, You have not done anything about insecurity in Nigeria.”
