A woman has criticised men who decorate their homes with fake designer-branded items, saying she would not take a man seriously if she found counterfeit Gucci or Louis Vuitton products in his house.
The woman made the remarks in a viral video circulating on social media, where she particularly criticised the use of fake designer bedsheets, curtains and rugs.
She said she would immediately leave a man’s house if she saw such items, questioning why some men were so attracted to displaying designer brands in their homes.
“If I come to a man’s house and I see that fake Gucci bedsheet, fake Gucci curtain, fake Gucci. What again, do you guys use as Gucci or Louis Vuitton? I no fit stay there, I go just comot.
“I just know that either you are Yahoo boy or something is wrong with you because you cannot seriously carry fake Gucci bedsheets, fake Gucci rug, fake Louis Vuitton.
“You guys really like that Louis Vuitton.”
She also took aim at what she described as excessive use of gold-coloured furniture and interior decorations.
According to her, she prefers simple and minimalist furniture to the heavily decorated interiors she associated with some men.
“And this, this golden, um, interior design, I really don’t like it. That golden chair, royal chair.
“Why can’t you have something minimalistic and beautiful like a, like a normal couch? Why everything will be golden and royal? Golden, golden, golden.”
The woman also criticised the use of blue LED lights, saying they could make a room resemble a school hall.
“You can’t put that LED, that blue lights. Your room will be like this school hall.
“Your house will be like this school. I won’t take you seriously as a man.”
She returned to the issue of designer-branded bedding, questioning the choice to use counterfeit luxury brands in such personal spaces.
“If I come to your house and I see that Gucci bedsheet or Louis Vuitton bedsheet, like, you wan knack me on top fake Gucci bedsheet. You wan knack me on top fake Louis Vuitton bedsheet.”
