“You’re a coward for dragging your fellow Igbo man” – Yul Edochie blasts critics over support for Tinubu

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has come down hard on some Igbo men criticising others for supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of 2027 elections.

In a strongly worded statement shared on his social media page, the actor expressed anger over what he described as selective outrage, accusing critics of targeting fellow Igbo people while ignoring supporters of Tinubu from other regions.

“Any Igbo man who is dragging his fellow Igbo man for supporting President TINUBU, that person is a monkey and a coward. Show me a video of you dragging Yorubas who are supporting TINUBU. Show me a video of you dragging Northerners who are supporting TINUBU.

Show me a video of you dragging all the past leaders who couldn’t fix Nigeria. Show me a video of you dragging Northern celebrities who support TINUBU. None.

You don’t have the liver to do it. But when it’s your Igbo brother, you’ll rush and set the ring light to drag him. You’re a monkey and a big coward. Shame on you,” he said.

His outburst comes weeks after he publicly declared support for President Tinubu and accepted a political role linked to the president’s movement.

Yul Edochie had earlier announced his appointment as Deputy Southeast Coordinator for the “Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria” (RTIFN) group, stating that he is fully committed and ready to serve.
