Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has issued a stern warning to men about their finances and how it affects their image. The actor on his X handle, claimed that requesting for assistance from ones wife makes the man weak and incapable.
Yul strongly spoke against such acts, urging men to work hard in order to provide for their homes.
”A man should never depend on his wife’s money. Never. That’s a weak man. Work hard and make your own money,” he stated.
The actor’s controversial statement quickly stirred mixed reactions from other users. Some individuals called him out for being toxic, stating that his advise comes from a place of hurt. Others, however, agreed with his opinion, stating that women are quick to ‘humble’ men when they become financially responsible for the affairs of the home.
”Fair enough, real men don’t depend on women for survival. Because in Yoruba, there’s something called SIREGUN. Them go use am humble you gan,” one user wrote.
