Career
Yohanna was signed by AIK on June 29, 2025, with a contract that runs until December 31, 2029. Yohanna began his career at AIK with the club’s under-19 team, where he scored four goals in three P19 Allsvenskan matches.
It wasn’t long before head coach Mikkjal Thomassen started incorporating Yohanna into first-team practice regularly.
He made his AIK debut on August 17, 2025, as a replacement in the 89th minute against IFK Göteborg at Gamla Ullevi, in a 2-1 loss. Three days later, Yohanna made his AIK debut, playing the entire game in the qualification round for the 2025-26 Svenska Cupen against Hudiksvalls FF, which AIK easily won 7-0.
AIK fired Mikkjal Thomassen before the 2026 season and replaced him with José Rivero, a Spanish coach. Following the managerial change and the implementation of a new 4-3-3 formation, Yohanna established himself as the team’s right winger, a position he rapidly mastered throughout the preseason.
On March 9, 2026, Yohanna scored his first two goals for AIK in a 4-0 victory over BK Häcken at Strawberry Arena, securing qualification for the Swedish Cup quarterfinals.
In the quarter-final against GAIS, Yohanna scored one of AIK’s goals, heading in a cross from Áron Csongvai in the second half. However, AIK lost 3-2 and was eliminated from the cup.
Yohanna made his Allsvenskan debut on April 5, 2026, at Strawberry Arena, scoring his first league goal. Cutting in from the right flank, he glided past two defenders inside the penalty box before clinically unleashing the game-winning strike to defeat Halmstads BK 2-1.
Following Yohanna’s impressive start to the 2026 season, transfer speculation increased. In April, reports surfaced tying the player to German clubs including Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, and Bayer Leverkusen.
Yohanna maintained his great form throughout the spring of 2026, scoring AIK’s only goal in a 1-1 draw against IF Elfsborg at Borås Arena on May 3. On May 10, he assisted Kevin Filling in a 4-2 defeat over Djurgårdens IF.
Yohanna confirmed on June 6, 2026, that he will join English Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion when the transfer market opens on June 15, 2026.
