2027: Uba Sani exposes how Tinubu can lose or get 70% votes

By Ayorinde Oluokun

Kaduna governor, Uba Sani, has affirmed that the only way President Bola Ahmed Tinubu can be defeated in the 2027 presidential election is if the elections were conducted on the social media.

The governor said this while addressing the Presidential Communications Team and journalists who were on inspection tour of major Federal Government infrastructure projects across the North-West geopolitical zone on Thursday.

The Governor said the only way the President can be defeated is if the election was held on the social media, otherwise he will be re-elected with over 70 per cent of the votes. ā€œIf elections are going to be conducted on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, Asiwaju (Tinubu) will lose. But if it is the people that will vote through the ballot he is going to win 70 per cent of the votes. Go and write it down. It is about what is one the ground,ā€ Sani said.

The Governor added that there is no opposition to the ruling party in Kaduna State. He said Kaduna is now a one-party state as a result of his performance and that of the President.

ā€œAnd I can assure you that Kaduna State, as we are speaking, we have no opposition. We have turned Kaduna into one party state and we have no apology for that,ā€ Sani said while dismissing the claims that the Tinubu’s administration has favoured the Southern part of the country to the disadvantage of the North in terms of development, citing recent approvals of road and rail projects for Kaduna and Kano State by Federal Executive Council.

He said the President has also supported return of peace to Kaduna citing the case of Birnin Gwari which used to be hotbed of farmers-herders clashes with many lives lost monthly to the crises in the state.

ā€œWe must appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

ā€œWe know where we are coming from. When we came in 2023, everybody, especially those from Southern Kaduna will agree with me that every month, we have problem with farmers-herders crisis, there was no peace. But we have not experienced a single of ethno religious crisis in Kaduna State in the last three years.

ā€œThe number of lives we lost to the ethno-religious crisis is more than what we lost to banditry.

Sani also affirmed that the President has enabled delivery of life-changing infrastructure projects at the sub-national levels with the increase in allocation of funds from the federal purse to the states and local governments as a result of his reforms.

He said increase allocation by the President has also enabled delivery of projects in some about 12 local government areas of the state where there has not been any form of government’s presence for over ten years before his administration.

ā€œWhy are we doing projects? It’s because President Tinubu is supporting the subnational more than any government because he understands the situation – developments must be at the grassroots. Here is a man who fought for true federalism. We are together in the trenches fight true federalism and he understands that development must be at the grassroots from the bottom to up and that is why he believe in empowering subnational, supporting local governmentsā€
