Alleged housing fraud: FCCPC seals Abuja estate

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has shut down Paradise Estate in the Life Camp Extension area of Abuja over alleged housing fraud.

The Commission said the estate was sealed because it failed to deliver houses to buyers even after they had fully paid for them.

According to FCCPC, several complaints were received from customers, but the estate management did not follow official instructions or resolve the issues.

The agency explained that repeated refusal to comply with its directives led to the enforcement action.

FCCPC restated its commitment to protecting consumers from unfair business practices. It also warned real estate companies to always deliver on their promises and follow consumer protection laws.
