The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has launched a tender process for the hosting and organisation of its 48th Ordinary General Assembly and the 2026 CAF Awards in Nigeria.
According to a statement from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Communications Department, on Saturday, September 12, the CAF Ordinary General Assembly will be held in Abuja, while the 2026 CAF Awards is scheduled for Lagos.
CAF said qualified and experienced suppliers are invited to submit proposals across several service categories for the events.

The categories include catering, translation and interpretation, broadcasting facilities, transportation, private security, event design and creative services, event set-up and management, as well as event branding production.
“CAF invites qualified and experienced suppliers with demonstrated capacity to submit proposals for the relevant tenders,” the statement said.
It added that tender documents, eligibility requirements, submission guidelines and applicable deadlines are available on the official CAF tender webpage.
Interested suppliers were urged to review the requirements and submit their proposals within the specified deadlines.
CAF said it looks forward to working with partners committed to “excellence, innovation, reliability, and world-class service delivery” as it prepares for the two major events in Nigeria.
Recall that President Bola Tinubu approved Nigeria’s bid to host the 2026 Confederation of African Football Awards as well as the 48th CAF Ordinary General Assembly.
According to a statement by the Nigeria Football Federation, the approval came during the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi, Kenya, following a meeting between Tinubu and CAF President Patrice Motsepe.
Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu; NFF President Ibrahim Gusau; former NFF President and Special Adviser to the CAF President Amaju Pinnick; as well as CAF Acting General Secretary Samson Adamu were present at the meeting.
