Dr Likee Cannot Be Compared to LilWin – Maurice Ampaw

Outspoken Ghanaian lawyer and media personality Maurice Ampaw has weighed in on the ongoing social media exchanges involving Kumawood stars Kwadwo Nkansah and Dr Likee.

In a video shared on TikTok and sighted by ibynews.com on June 5, 2026, Maurice Ampaw expressed his support for LilWin, arguing that the actor’s contributions to Ghana’s entertainment industry place him far ahead of Dr Likee.

According to Ampaw, comparing the two entertainers is unfair because LilWin has made a much broader impact on the creative arts sector over the years.

“Between LilWin and Dr Likee, I will say Dr Likee is nowhere close to LilWin. I have followed this industry for a long time, and I know what is going on. LilWin has done a lot for the entertainment industry and has contributed to national development. So Dr Likee cannot be compared to LilWin,” he stated.

The legal practitioner praised LilWin’s versatility, noting that his influence extends beyond acting into several areas of entertainment and public life.

According to him, LilWin has successfully built a career as an actor, musician, comedian, and entrepreneur, making him one of the most influential figures in Ghana’s entertainment industry.

“He can sing, dance, and act, and when it comes to his social, political, and religious engagements, he also does well. So, he should be respected in the industry for that,” Maurice Ampaw said.

He further commended LilWin’s outspoken nature, explaining that he appreciates individuals who express their views honestly rather than pretending to please everyone.

“He is not afraid to speak his mind, and I don’t like hypocrisy, so I appreciate the way he carries himself,” he added.

The comments come amid increasing discussions on social media about the achievements and influence of both LilWin and Dr Likee, two of the most popular figures in Ghana’s movie industry.

While Dr Likee has gained significant popularity in recent years through his comedy skits and online productions, LilWin remains one of the country’s most accomplished entertainers, with achievements spanning acting, music, film production, and business.

Maurice Ampaw’s remarks have since generated mixed reactions online, with some fans agreeing that LilWin’s longevity and versatility give him an edge, while others argue that Dr Likee’s recent impact on Ghana’s digital entertainment scene deserves equal recognition.

The debate continues to spark conversations among fans as both entertainers maintain strong support bases across the country.
