Yekeen Popoola, has encouraged Muslims to use the festive period to offer prayers for peace, unity and sustainable development in Oyo State and Nigeria, particularly at a time when the country is faced with various socio-economic challenges.

Hon. Popoola,in a goodwill message made available to newsmen, urged Muslims to embrace and uphold the virtues of sacrifice, love, obedience, humility and peaceful coexistence, which form the core essence of Eid-el-Adha.

He further called on Nigerians to extend hands of compassion to the less privileged and vulnerable members of society, emphasising that the true spirit of the celebration lies in sharing and caring for one another.

“I congratulate the Muslim Ummah in Oyo State and around the world on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Adha. May this sacred celebration bring peace, blessings, happiness and prosperity to all homes and our dear nation,” he stated.

He wished all Muslim faithful a peaceful and memorable Eid al-Adha celebration.
