Tension in Enugu community following reports of mob attempts to lynch certain individuals over allegations of same sex relationship in Enugu community.

Reports revealed that the messrs Nwaokeke 0keke Emmanuel and Chukwuebuka Elijah Okeke both of Aguata and Udi local government areas respectively engaged in same sex activities at different times in Enugu state, Nigeria.
Eyewitness account revealed that a group of youths mobilized after rumours spread within the areas, accusing certain residents of engaging in same-sex activity at odd hours in the locality.

Both alleged individuals narrowly escaped harm, flee the communities as crowd gathered to allegedly lynch the suspects over bisexual relationship described as an abomination across communities in the state.
All these attacks and molestations compelled same sex patterns to report to the police who in turn declared the suspects wanted on July 24,2023 and May 9th after the failed attempts to lynch them, compelled them to flee the country and seek asylum in foreign land. My

When contacted, officials at Aguata JJ and Udi communities said no formal statement had yet been issued regarding the incident involving the two same sex partners. Efforts to reach the state police public relations officer for confirmation were ongoing at the time of filing this report.
