Governor Uba Sani has emerged as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 election in Kaduna state.
Governor Sani announced his emergence in a statement issued on Thursday after securing 459,393 votes during the party’s governorship primary election.
The Kaduna governor described the outcome as a demonstration of confidence in his administration and leadership.
His words: “I am profoundly honoured and deeply humbled by the overwhelming confidence reposed in me by members of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), following my emergence as the party’s gubernatorial flag bearer for the 2027 Kaduna State Governorship Election.
“The resounding affirmation of my candidacy, reflected in the 459,393 votes cast in support of our shared vision, is far more than a political endorsement; it is a solemn expression of collective faith in the ideals of unity, responsible leadership, and inclusive progress that bind us together as a people.”
Governor Sani thanked President Bola Tinubu for what he described as steadfast leadership and commitment to national renewal.
The governor also appreciated the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC, party stakeholders, delegates, youth groups, women groups and party members across Kaduna state.
“I extend my deepest gratitude to the leader of our great party and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, whose steadfast leadership and unwavering commitment to national renewal continue to inspire confidence across our nation,” he said.
Sani said the outcome of the primary election had strengthened his resolve to continue pursuing peace, security and economic development in Kaduna state.
“This outcome renews our collective determination to redouble our efforts at building a Kaduna State defined by peace, security, economic vitality, social justice, and opportunity for all,” he said.
The governor dedicated the victory to residents of Kaduna state and pledged to continue serving with humility and fairness.
“I dedicate this victory to the resilient and dignified people of Kaduna State, and I reaffirm my commitment to serve with humility, fairness, courage, and compassion as we continue the important work of consolidating the gains achieved since 2023,” he added.
