The House of Representatives has dissolved all its Ad Hoc Committees with immediate effect.
The House made this known in a memo directed to all members of the House of Representatives.
The memo said many of the Committees have exceeded theur timelines.
It noted that the dissolution followed the expiration of a two-week extension granted to only two Committees that requested more time.
The Clerk reminded members that ad hoc Committees are temporary and time-bound, and must submit reports within the period allotted under Order 18 Rule 11 of the House Standing Orders.
Consequently, Chairmen of the affected Committees have been directed to submit all outstanding reports, working documents and records to the Office of the Clerk for safekeeping.
The memo urged all members to take note of the directive and ensure strict compliance.
