Dutch police have arrested a 29-year-old man after finding a woman dead inside a home in Middenbeemster.
Officers discovered the 65-year-old woman’s body on Saturday evening, September 5, 2026.
Police found her between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.
The suspect lives in Middenbeemster. He reportedly went to a police station and turned himself in.
A police spokesperson confirmed the development to NU.nl.
The spokesperson did not reveal whether the man and the woman knew each other.
Police have not disclosed what caused the woman’s death.
They have also not announced a possible motive or explained the suspect’s alleged involvement.
Detectives and forensic investigators searched the home for evidence.
