The Matawalle Political Movement (MPM) has felicitated Muslims in Zamfara State and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud 1448, urging them to emulate the virtues and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

In a statement issued on behalf of the Minister of State for Defence, Dr Bello Mohammed Matawalle, the MPM said the Maulud celebration provided an opportunity for Muslims to reflect on the Prophet’s teachings on peace, unity and love for one another.

The movement said the Prophet’s teachings and compassion covered all aspects of human life and should serve as a guide for Muslims in their daily conduct.

It urged Muslims to use Maulud preaching and prayer sessions to pray for the return of lasting peace to Zamfara State and Nigeria.

The MPM said this year’s celebration came at a critical period as the country prepares for another election cycle, making prayers for peace and security particularly important.

It called on Muslims to pray for divine guidance throughout the election season and work towards an environment where no citizen would be subjected to threats or intimidation.

The movement also urged the Muslim faithful to uphold the virtues of Prophet Muhammad while seeking Allah’s intervention in the affairs of the state and nation.

The MPM prayed that Allah would make the Maulud celebration rewarding for Muslims and bring lasting peace to Zamfara and Nigeria.
