The Managing Director of the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC), Yazeed Shehu Danfulani, has mourned the death of the Emir of Zurmi, His Royal Highness Alhaji Bello Suleiman, describing his passing as a great loss to the emirate, Zamfara State and Nigeria.
Danfulani, in a condolence message issued following the monarch’s death on Monday evening, said the news came to him with “deep shock and profound sadness”.
He described the late emir as a father to all who embraced people without discrimination and positively impacted lives during his reign.
“The late Emir was a father to all; he never differentiated but embraced all as his own,” Danfulani said.
The NAIC boss described the monarch as a highly respected traditional ruler whose wisdom, leadership and commitment to peace, unity and development would remain a lasting legacy.
“The death of the Emir is a great loss not only to the people of Zurmi Emirate and Zamfara State but Nigeria in general. Truly, we lost a father,” he said.
Danfulani said the late monarch’s contributions to the wellbeing and development of his people would continue to be remembered by generations to come.
He extended his condolences to the late emir’s family, the Zurmi Emirate Council, the Zamfara State Government and the people of the state, as well as all those affected by the loss.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the monarch’s shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus and give his family and loved ones the strength and patience to bear the loss.
