Bishop Kwabena Asiamah, popularly known as Ajagurajah, has attributed Ghana’s victory over Panama at the 2026 FIFA World Cup to the spiritual intervention of Asantehene Otumfuor Osei Tutu II, claiming the paramount ruler single-handedly altered the course of the match through divine influence.
Speaking during a live session video, the controversial Bishop stated that Ghana played poorly against Panama and would have conceded a goal had Otumfuor not stepped in spiritually to change the outcome in favour of the Black Stars.
“Otumfuor Osei Tutu is the only one that can change prophecy. If not for him, Panama would have scored Ghana,” he said, adding that the Asantehene intervened and salvaged the situation for the country.
Ajagurajah’s remarks have generated significant reactions online, with many social media users both amused and critical of the claim.
Some have questioned why the same spiritual powers did not produce a more dominant performance from the Black Stars, while supporters of Ajagurajah have defended his position within the framework of African spiritual belief.
Ghana defeated Panama in their Group L opener to begin the tournament positively. On Tuesday, the nation hoped to continue its winning run against England
