After suspected gang members allegedly kidnapped at least eight students during a nocturnal attack on off-campus dorms at Nasarawa State University’s Engineering Campus in Gudi, fear has spread throughout the Keffi town.
According to reports, the armed attackers raided a number of student residences close to the campus at around one in the morning on Thursday. According to eyewitnesses, the gònmen dragged the victims away to an unidentified place after breaking into the hostels.
As gunfire and yelling reverberated throughout the area, the attack allegedly lasted for several minutes, traumatizing many students. Students hid in terror during the operation, according to an unidentified source, and several expressed dissatisfaction over the lack of prompt security involvement.
Students were crying and cowering in fear as the shouting and sh%oting continued. During the operation, there was no discernible security response, according to the source.
