Social media entertainers Habeeb ‘Portable’ Badmus and Carter Efe have stirred excitement ahead of their upcoming celebrity boxing match by exchanging strong words during a pre-fight meeting.
The bout is part of Chaos in the Ring 4, set to take place on May 1 at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The face-off quickly turned tense as both men openly challenged each other, promising to win convincingly.
Their heated exchange has added drama to the event, drawing attention from fans eager to see how the rivalry unfolds in the ring.
The event, approved by the Nigeria
Boxing Board of Control and organised by Balmoral Group in partnership with Amir Khan’s AK Promotions, will also feature a main fight between Ezra Arenyeka and Godday Appah.
Their match is tagged the WBO Peace Fight, aimed at promoting unity between the Itsekiri and Ijaw communities.
Both fighters expressed confidence, with Appah predicting a knockout within six rounds and Arenyeka promising to end the fight earlier.
Portable, who has previously won exhibition fights against Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington, said he is determined to secure another victory against Carter Efe.
However, Efe dismissed Portable’s past wins and said the fight would end quickly in his favour.
Other fights on the card include British
boxer Michael McKinson against Algeria’s Mohammad Sahnoun, Ghana’s Elvis Ahorgah versus Joe Laws from Newcastle, and Rasheed Adeyemo taking on Nicolaus Mdoe. Rising talent Raheem Animashaun will also face Tanzania’s Emmanuel Amos.
Balmoral Group CEO Ezekiel Adamu said the event aims to give African boxers a global platform, as it will be broadcast worldwide on DAZN.
He added that such opportunities can change the lives of young fighters and help showcase African boxing to the world.
