A lady has shared the story of her neighbour, who returned to her husband after he promised to provide ₦500,000 for a business, only to end up with a broken leg and mounting medical expenses.
The woman narrated the incident on social media, explaining that her neighbour had previously left the marriage following an assault that left her hospitalised.
According to her account, the woman’s parents later took her away from the home to recover.
Despite the separation, the neighbour reportedly remained concerned about her husband’s activities and frequently contacted the narrator to ask whether he had been seen with another woman.
Promise of financial support
The narrator claimed that her neighbour eventually revealed plans to return to the marriage after her husband allegedly promised to give her ₦500,000 to start a business.
According to the account, the woman intended to collect the money before leaving the relationship permanently.
Recounting the situation, the lady wrote:
“My neighbour went back to her husband because of ₦500,000. She is now looking for ₦700,000 to fix a broken leg.”
She further that the husband accepted his wife back into the home when she returned.
Man resumes abuse
According to the narrator, problems resurfaced shortly after the reconciliation.
She claimed that physical altercations resumed within days and that during one of the disputes, the woman sustained a broken leg.
The narrator also alleged that the promised business capital was never provided.
