Ohanenye praises Tinubu, congratulates Bianca Ojukwu on Foreign Affairs appointment

A former Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy Ohanenye, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Bianca Ojukwu as Minister of Foreign Affairs.

In a statement, Ohanenye said the appointment shows the government’s commitment to fairness, inclusion, and national unity. She noted that choosing Ojukwu from Anambra State shows that capable people are being recognised across all regions.

She described the appointment as “honourable and reassuring” for the people of Anambra, adding that it reflects trust in the state’s ability to represent the country at a high level.

Ohanenye also congratulated Ojukwu, saying she believes the new minister has the experience and ability to improve Nigeria’s relations with other countries.

She wished Ojukwu success in her new role and thanked the President for what she called a great honour for the people of Anambra State.
