Imo Governor Hope Uzodimma has inaugurated Shared Prosperity Coordinators across the state’s 27 Local Government Areas and 305 political wards as part of efforts to strengthen the administration’s grassroots presence.
Uzodimma disclosed the development in a post on X, saying the initiative was designed to ensure that the benefits of what he described as quality governance reached people across the state.
He said the coordinators would be responsible for taking the programmes and achievements of the Shared Prosperity Administration to communities across Imo.
“As they discharge their responsibilities, I expect every coordinator to place the interests and welfare of the people above all else,” the governor said.
Uzodimma also urged the coordinators to prioritise inclusive development and strengthen the relationship between government and communities.

“As a progressive family, our enduring responsibility is to serve the people, promote inclusive development, and strengthen the connection between government and the communities we serve,” he said.
The inauguration comes ahead of the September 26 local government elections in Imo State, with the state’s 27 local government areas and 305 wards involved in the poll.
