We Now Have Two Presidents In Nigeria – Agbedi Blasts Wike Over PDP Threats

Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) caucus in the House of Representatives, Fred Agbedi, has questioned the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, over his threat to shut down the party secretariat.

Naijaonpoint recalls that Wike had challenged the Tanimu Turaki faction of the PDP, daring it to open an official party secretariat in Abuja and a bank account if it genuinely believed it controlled the opposition party.

In his words, “Any bank that allows Turaki-led PDP to open an account for the sale of nomination forms will be in trouble. I will seal off any house that allows them to use it as the PDP headquarters.”

Reacting to the threat, during an interview on Channels Television on Wednesday, Agbedi described Wike as a ‘busybody’.

The lawmaker representing Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency of Bayelsa State said, “What makes Wike, as a minister of the Federal Republic, now threaten banks and threaten people that he would demolish property?

“This means we have two presidents and two laws in this nation. It amounts to a busybody. It has nothing to do with him. If they are vexed about the Supreme Court, they should go back to the court and not to threaten Nigerians because he’s holding a public office.”
