An emotional video of a Nigerian makeup artist expressing regret over relocating abroad has sparked reactions online.
In the viral clip, the lady lamented that the reality she encountered after leaving Nigeria was completely different from what she was promised before making the move.
Makeup Artist Shares Relocation Struggles
The lady, who revealed that she is a makeup artist, said she abandoned her plans to complete her education after being convinced to travel abroad in search of better opportunities.
She explained that she was supposed to complete her clearance and return to continue her Higher National Diploma (HND) programme before deciding to leave Nigeria.
According to her, she was told that there were better financial opportunities abroad, but her experience turned out differently.
Lady Warns Others About Relocation Decisions
Expressing her frustration, the makeup artist claimed that some people mislead others with false promises about life abroad.
She advised Nigerians considering relocating to thoroughly investigate before making such decisions.
In her words: “Dem go just carry lie like this, lie for person, say make you leave your country go another country say money dey there. This one happen, I be makeup artist o I left it.
“I’m supposed to do my clearance and go back for HND. Yes, I know say money no dey, make I come here come find money, but all these things na lie dem dey lie.
“Before you leave your country go anywhere, check well because I don’t understand why. I just want to go back to my country. I just want to go back to Nigeria because wetin I dey see no be wetin dem tell me. I don tire.”
The video has stirred discussions online, with many people sharing their views about the challenges some migrants face after relocating in search of greener pastures.
