Political groups in Zamfara State have staged a solidarity walk in Gusau to appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the appointment of Senator Abdul’azeez Yari as Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.
The walk, organised by the A. A. Yari Political Organisation in collaboration with the Shehi Movement Organisation and Yari 774 Initiative for Asiwaju 2027, began at the Trade Fair Complex and ended at the Zamfara State Government House.

The groups are expected to present a letter of appreciation to Governor Dauda Lawal for his role in the appointment and its presentation to President Tinubu.
The organisers described Yari’s appointment as a strategic decision that would strengthen the APC ahead of the 2027 general election.
They also pledged to mobilise massive support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid, saying the appointment would help take the party to what they described as the “promised land”.
APC stakeholders, party loyalists and supporters of President Tinubu participated in the walk, which caused partial closures on major roads in Gusau.
The solidarity march comes amid growing political activities in Zamfara ahead of the 2027 general election.
