Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Senate President Bukola Saraki have felicitated the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, as he marks his 72nd birthday.
The two former political leaders celebrated the cleric in separate messages shared on their X handles on Sunday, highlighting his impact on education, mentorship, philanthropy and human development.
Atiku, the African Democratic Congress 2027 presidential candidate, said Oyedepo’s contributions to society and his role in establishing institutions deserved recognition.
“I join family, friends, and well-wishers to congratulate Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide and Senior Pastor of Faith Tabernacle, Ota, Ogun State, as he marks his 72nd birthday,” Atiku said.
He also acknowledged Oyedepo’s contribution to the development of education through his leadership as Chancellor of Covenant University and Landmark University.
“I sincerely honour his legacy as Chancellor of Covenant University and Landmark University, and his far-reaching contributions to education, mentorship, philanthropy, and human development.”
Atiku further praised the bishop’s commitment to developing people and institutions, describing his work as deserving of celebration.
The former vice president wished Oyedepo good health and strength as he begins another year.

Saraki, in his message, focused on Oyedepo’s consistency in standing by his convictions and the influence of his ministry on the faith of many people.
“I have always admired the courage with which the Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, stands by his convictions. He says what he believes, even when it isn’t the easiest thing to say, and through his ministry, so many people have found their faith,” Saraki said.
The former Senate president also offered prayers for the bishop’s wellbeing and continued service to Nigerians and humanity.
“As he turns 72 today, I pray that God continues to keep him in good health and grants him many more years of service to Nigerians and humanity. Happy birthday, Sir,” he said.
TVC News earlier reported that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu also celebrated Bishop Oyedepo on his 72nd birthday, describing the cleric as a prominent Christian leader whose contributions to the growth of education and human development have impacted many lives.
