At the Force Headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday, the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, accepted a shipment of protective gear supplied by Signal 63 Ministries, a US-based organization, via Fundamental Baptist Ministry International.
Mr. Bill Graham of Signal 63 Ministries and Rev. and Mrs. Philemon Sidi of Fundamental Baptist Ministry International made the donation possible.
Disu praised Graham and the Sidi couple for their efforts to promote the wellbeing of officers in a post on the Nigeria Police Force’s X.com (previously Twitter) account on Wednesday.
“This donation is a critical intervention aimed at enhancing the safety and operational confidence of our frontline personnel,” Disu stated upon receiving the products. We are incredibly grateful to Signal 63 Ministries for their generosity and to Rev. and Mrs. Sidi for helping to make this happen.
The IGP reiterated his administration’s dedication to provide officers with the resources they need to provide efficient services.
Disu continued, “We cannot compromise on the welfare of our employees. It continues to be a key component of our efforts to create a police force that is more professional and robust. We’ll keep looking for every chance to improve our officers’ abilities and security.”
