Manchester City continued their impressive start to the 2026/27 Premier League season with a convincing 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Friday night.

City dominated proceedings and secured all three points to make it two wins from two league matches at the start of the new campaign.

Erling Haaland and Rayan Cherki were the standout performers for the visitors, with both players finding the net twice as Pep Guardiola’s side produced an emphatic attacking display.

The victory comes after City opened their campaign with a 2-1 comeback win over Bournemouth, while Palace were looking to respond after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Everton in their opening fixture.

City quickly established control of the contest and converted their dominance into goals, with Haaland opening the scoring before Cherki doubled the advantage.

Palace managed to reduce the deficit and briefly threatened to mount a comeback, but City remained in control and restored their two-goal cushion.

Cherki completed his brace before Haaland added his second to seal a comprehensive 4-1 victory for the visitors.

The result leaves Manchester City with six points from their opening two Premier League fixtures and provides an early boost to their title ambitions.
