The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new system allowing candidates to upload and verify their O’Level results from the comfort of their homes.
The initiative enables JAMB to verify candidates’ results directly with examination bodies, beginning with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), rather than requiring candidates to visit Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres for the process.
According to a statement by JAMB’s Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocol, Fabian Benjamin, the new arrangement is part of the Board’s efforts to make its services easier, faster, safer and more convenient.
The Board said the technology-driven process would reduce unnecessary visits to CBT centres, queues and manual procedures.
It would also address challenges associated with manual uploads, including misplaced or mixed-up paper results, fraudulent or unverified certificates and errors in entering subjects and grades.
Under the new system, JAMB’s e-Facility platform is integrated with examination bodies, allowing candidates’ results to be verified against the records of the issuing institutions before being uploaded to their profiles.
How to Verify and Upload O’Level Results
Candidates are required to first obtain a result verification code by visiting the designated verification platform and entering their National Identification Number (NIN).
They should then select the number of sittings and examination body, provide their email address and phone number, and make payment using a debit card or bank transfer.
After payment, candidates must enter their examination number, series and year to verify their results and obtain a Verification Code.
To complete the upload, candidates should send “VERIFY” followed by their Verification Code to 55019 or 66019.
Candidates with two sittings will subsequently be directed to their JAMB e-Facility profile, where they should select “2026 UTME O’Level Upload” and enter their Verification Code.
The two verified results will be displayed, after which candidates must select the required subjects.
JAMB said candidates must select a minimum of five and a maximum of nine subjects, with no subject selected more than once.
They should then click “Apply the O’Level Results” to complete the process.
The Board said successful candidates would receive a notification confirming the upload.
JAMB said the new system would provide a convenient alternative, particularly during periods of high patronage and network challenges at CBT centres.
The Board said the initiative reflected the commitment of its sixth Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina, to a more customer-focused and technology-driven service delivery system.
It added that it would continue to deploy technology and collaborate with examination and government agencies to make its services simpler, safer and more accessible to candidates.
