The Lagos State University (LASU) has confirmed that all outstanding results for students in the Department of English have been uploaded, assuring eligible students that they will graduate with their peers in the 2025/2026 academic session.
The university gave the assurance in a statement on Monday, August 24, 2026, following an enquiry by its management into allegations that some lecturers had failed to upload students’ results, reportedly delaying their graduation and raising concerns that some affected students could be forced to spend an extra year.
LASU said the investigation established that the Department of English had uploaded all outstanding results as of Sunday, August 23.
“Consequently, all students who have fulfilled all requirements for graduation will graduate with their peers in the just-concluded 2025/2026 academic session,” the university said.
It stressed that no student who had met all graduation requirements would be required to spend an extra year as a result of the issue.

The university, however, clarified that students whose results remained outstanding after the latest action had yet to fulfil the requirements for graduation.
“Any student whose result remains outstanding following this action has yet to fulfil the requirements for graduation and is advised to complete the necessary requirements accordingly,” LASU said.
The institution said the development followed its response to concerns over the alleged non-upload of results, which had sparked fears among affected students about possible delays to their graduation.
LASU reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that students who have fulfilled all graduation requirements are not unduly delayed in completing their programmes.
