Lagos State Deputy Governor and All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Obafemi Hamzat, has joined other party leaders to inaugurate the Lagos State APC Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The inauguration was held on Friday at the party’s secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja, with Hamzat joined by Lagos APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, and other party leaders. The campaign council has 1,235 members and is headed by former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, as Director-General.
In a post on X, Hamzat said the campaign would require hard work and direct engagement with Lagos residents, stressing that the party would not take the electorate’s trust for granted.
He said, “Today, I joined our party Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, and other party leaders to inaugurate the Lagos State APC Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
“Campaigns are won by hard work and genuine connection with the people. We are not taking the trust of Lagosians for granted. Every member of this council knows the task ahead is to listen, to deliver our message clearly and to show why our party remains the right choice to lead Lagos forward.
